The Basics Of How The Game Works

The main object of the game is to knock down as many pins as possible and get a higher score then your opponent and win the game.

-->> Pins - The pins are tall and skinny like a candle. You have to knock them down to get a score. You have 10 pins standing at the end of the lane, Eatch one is numbered. But that don't mean what ever number is standing, is what score you get. You get the score of however many pins you have knocked down. You use a bolwing ball to knock them down with force.

-->> Bowling ball - The bowling ball is the main part of playing bowling. If you don't have a ball then you can't knock down the pins. The balls are heavy and they weigh no more then 3 pounds. When throwing the ball always remember to keep your wrist and arm stright. If you happen to turn them then you more likely for your ball to go in the gudder, and that means that you can't hit the pins.

-->> Gudders - There are what is beside the lanes that are past the foul line. If you ball goes in then, you can't get a score for knocking down the pins. If your ball goes go down teh gudder and comes back out and knocks them down, it don't count and you have to reset your pins and have another try.

-->> Ball Return - This is the machine that brings back your ball. When you ball comes back. Becareefull cause if you grab on and another one comes, you have a chance of getting your fingers smacked between them.

-->> Foul Line - This line you can not go pass. If you do then either a buzzer will go off, or someone tells you. But if your in a big tournament then you really cont go pass the line. If you do then you ball will count as a 0, and you will have to restart the pins if you knock any down.

-->> Bowling Shoe - Bowling shoes are specially made for sliding. You need to slid to play, and power that lets you slid if you can't. The top half or your shoe is ment for sliding not the bottom part. The bottom part is just like a ordinary shoe.

-->> Score Sheet - The score sheet has 10 boxes and 3 strings. For your fist box you don't have to put the score of that you got in the smaller box, but you put it in the big box. What ever score you go in the second box, you put that score in the smaller box and add it to the score that you got before. If you get a strike then you colour the small box in and draw a horizontal line in the big box. With a spare you only draw half the small box and draw the horizontal in the big box. What ever they got on their strike or spare, that number goes on top of the line and added up to their previous score. But remember that whatever they got on their spare always add 10 to it to make it 14, or 18.
